I began training and working in a community counselling service in 1995, combining this with working as a senior manager in Housing and Community services, in local government.
In 2013, I gained a professional qualification and have since worked as a counsellor in the NHS and in private practice.
I recognise that all of us may face things that overwhelm us, in ways we cannot control or understand and struggle to cope with: Abuse, Anxiety, Bereavement, Health issues, Identity and self-esteem issues, relationship difficulties, stress, trauma, work and study issues, can all leave us feeling anxious, unsafe, depressed, even suicidal, or just dissatisfied with our lives and relationships with others.
I work with these everyday experiences and as a psychodynamic counsellor, acknowledge the influence of our past lives, in the present moment.
I provide a safe space for you to explore and make sense of your experiences and feelings and visualise change.
I offer both short and long-term face to face work with adult clients and have an enhanced DBS certificate.
